Practice areas

Australian migration law changes constantly — legislative instruments, occupation lists, policy directions. What follows is the work we take on. If your matter falls outside it, we will tell you and, where we can, point you to someone who handles it.

Each of these is advice and representation about your position under the law. We do not obtain or supply government documents, and we do not act as a channel to the Department.

Visitor visa (subclass 600) consultation

A registered-agent consultation for tourist, family-visit and business visitor questions, including for applicants whose passport is not eligible for subclass 651. The consultation provides an initial assessment and next-step advice only; it does not include preparing, reviewing, lodging or managing a subclass 600 application.

Skilled migration

Points-tested and nominated pathways for people with qualifications and work experience Australia is seeking. We assess your points position honestly, including where a claim is weaker than you have been told, and identify what would actually move it — skills assessment, English score, state nomination, regional options.

Partner and family

Partner, parent and child visas. These matters turn on evidence rather than eligibility: what a genuine relationship looks like on paper, what the Department tests, and where applications commonly fail.

Student and post-study

Study pathways, genuine student requirements, and post-study work options. We advise on where a study plan is credible and where it is likely to be questioned.

Employer sponsored

Sponsorship, nomination and the visa itself, for employers and for employees. We advise on labour market testing, position requirements and the obligations that follow a sponsorship approval.

Refusals and cancellations

If you have had a refusal or a cancellation, the first question is what remains open — review rights, time limits, whether a further application is barred, and whether the underlying problem can be addressed. Time limits here are short and unforgiving. Come early.

Merits review at the Administrative Review Tribunal

We prepare and present matters for review, including submissions and hearing representation. We give you a candid view of prospects before you spend money on it.

Complex history

Refusal history, previous adverse findings, health or character issues, or prior matters that were prepared poorly. These are the matters where advice is worth the most, and where general information online is worth the least.

None of the above is a form-filling service. It is advice about your position under the law, and representation where you engage us for it. You may deal with the Department directly at any stage.
